On May 28th 2010 the partner of the event organizer was notified that one of his eagle scouts had been killed in marjah, Afghanistan Lance Cpl. Philip P. Clark, 19, of Gainesville, FL. Lance Cpl Clark was in the 3rd Battalion 6th Marines India Company.
That is bad enough news! This latest casualty represented number six (6) out of eleven (11) of his scouts that had given their lives for our country.
By now many of us know a relative or friend that has given their lives for our country. The organizers of this event felt the need to take action and do something to say thanks and to support the families of these men and help in one of the only ways we can.
Basic Black has scheduled four events in 2010 to raise money for wounded warriors. Look for these events on www.woundedwarriorproject.org or at www.basicblack.us and please support the wounded warrior project generously.
